How fostering works

Four steps from here to a life saved

  1. 1

    Application

Fill out the short application below — about 10 minutes. We respond to every foster application within 48 hours.

  2. 2

    What supplies you'll need

Nothing to buy. We send you home with food, litter, bedding, bottles, a heating pad, and a scale — everything your kitten needs is covered by us.

  3. 3

    Home checklist

A quiet room or bathroom to start, a safe space clear of hazards, and a rough plan for the first few weeks. That's it — we walk you through the rest.

  4. 4

    Meet your kitten

We match you with a kitten, bring them to you, and check in weekly. When their adopter is found, we handle the handoff.

Foster Appreciation

As a thank-you for stepping up, active fosters receive a monthly gift card to a local Grand Junction business — our small way of saying we couldn't do any of this without you.

Need something shorter-term? We're always looking for emergency fosters — a quiet, secluded room for just a few nights when a cat urgently needs somewhere safe to land.
